
Holiday Eggnog

Ingredients
- 6 eggs, separated
- ¾ cups (150 g) sugar, divided
- 2 cups (473 ml) heav y cream
- 2 cups (473 ml) whole milk
- 2 cups (473 ml) Irish whiskey
- 1 ounce (29.6 ml) rum
- Freshly ground nutmeg, for garnish
Instructions
- Using an electric hand mixer, beat together the egg yolks with ½ cup (100 g) sugar. Wash the mixer beaters well and dry them thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold in remaining, ¼ cup (50 g), sugar. Add the beaten egg whites to a large punch bowl. Fold in the prepared egg yolks, cream, milk, Irish whiskey and rum.
- Serve chilled, topped with nutmeg.
